"I've got the fire of hell in my eyes." 

That line from a song cooked by experimental AI chatbot ChatGPT "in the style of Nick Cave" gorgeous aptly encapsulates the singer-songwriter's take on the tune. 

"This song is bullshit, a grotesque mockery of what it is to be human," the Bad Seeds frontman wrote on his website The Red Hand Files, where he answers fans' questions from the amusing to the existential -- on music, movies, artistic inspiration, god, love and a whole lot else.  

The song, submitted by one Mark in New Zealand, isn't the only ChatGPT-composed "Cave" song fans have public with the 65-year-old Australian rocker. He's gotten dozens right the release of OpenAI's new tool, which responds to written questions and prompts, formulating answers from massive amounts of data on the internet.   

The tool can write AP English essays, jokes, poetry, computer code and, clearly, songs "in the style of Nick Cave," and it's stirring up amazement, amusement, fear and seemingly endless stunts for at testing just how intelligent this artificial intelligence really is. But when Cave acknowledges ChatGPT can probably write serviceable sermons or obituaries, he's firmly planted in the camp that doesn't see AI tools winning Grammys. 

"Songs arise out of suffering, by which I mean they are predicated upon the heart, internal human struggle of creation and, well, as far as I know, algorithms don't feel," Cave writes. "Data doesn't suffer. ChatGPT has no inner being, it has been nowhere, it has endured nothing, it has not had the audacity to approach beyond its limitations, and hence it doesn't have the capacity for a public transcendent experience, as it has no limitations from which to transcend." 

Cave describes songwriting in poetic, deeply felt human terms that do an excellent job underscoring his exhibit. It's hard to imagine ChatGPT coughing up a paragraph like the one under -- just yet at least.

"Writing a good song is not mimicry, or replication, or pastiche, it is the opposite," the musician writes. "It is an act of self-murder that destroys all one has strived to do in the past. It is those dangerous, heart-stopping departures that catapult the artist beyond the limits of what he or she recognizes as their eminent self."  

Expect to see many more artists weighing in on AI progresses at creativity, which aren't, of course, created in a vacuum. Artificial intelligence absorbs and reconstructs existing art  by humans, raising ethical and copyright concerns among artists and even lawyers in the treat. As well as questions about the very nature of art.

Gamers won't have to wait too much longer for Sony's follow-up to its great virtual reality headset. The PlayStation VR 2 finally has a drip date. The gaming device will launch on Feb. 22, 2023, with a starting heed of $550 (€600, £530), the company said in a blog post Wednesday. 

The PS VR 2 will reach more than six years after its predecessor and will entailed a slew of upgrades and redesigned hardware. Sony great shared details of the next-gen headset in January 2022, noting that the VR 2 will have sensors to detect eye motion and integrated headset cameras for controller tracking. It also comes with 4K HDR, 3D sound and an OLED prove with a 110-degree field of view that aims to earn a more immersive experience.

Wesson oil was developed by food chemist David Wesson in the 1880s as a concern alternative to shortenings with animal fat. But a class-action suit (PDF) recorded back in 2011 alleges that ConAgra Foods, Wesson's then-parent concern, falsely advertised the oil as "100% natural" even belief it's now made from genetically modified vegetables.

After more than a decade of fair wrangling -- including a rejected $8 million settlement -- a federal mediate gave preliminary approval in November to a $3 million payout to customers.

The official settlement site went live in December and customers who purchased Wesson oil during the specified timeframe can now file for compensation.

What is Wesson accused of in this lawsuit? 

From at least 2006 pending 2017, language on Wesson oil bottles claimed it was "100% natural."

But the lawsuit alleges that's fallacious advertising, as the oil contains genetically modified corn and soy. Customers were "induced to pay more for Wesson Oils due to that fallacious and deceptive claim," according to the complaint.

By July 2017, ConAgra had contained the "100% natural" language from Wesson packaging and blocked advertising its products that way. The following year, it agreed to an $8 million settlement to choose the case. 

But a federal judge rejected the deal because nearly $7 million of it was causing toward attorneys' fees. The agreement "includes too many indicators that class counsel's and Conagra's self-interest unduly influenced the outcome of the negotiations," District Court Judge Cormac J. Carney wrote.

A reworked settlement announced in 2022 provides $3 million for arranges consumers with no fees for the plaintiffs' attorneys.

ConAgra Foods did not acknowledge to a request for comment but, in court filings, denied any wrongdoing. It sold the Wesson brand to Richardson International in 2019.

Who is eligible to file a claim? 

The settlement recovers anyone who purchased Wesson brand cooking oils -- incorporating Wesson Vegetable Oil, Wesson Canola Oil, Wesson Corn Oil and Wesson Best Blend -- which were marketed, advertised and/or sold as "natural."

In addition, the products must have been purchased for personal consumption and not custom use or catering.

Only residents of 11 states are covered by this settlement, and each state has its own date range for qualifying Wesson purchases.

Fitbit's watches and trackers can do a lot more than just report your steps and tell the time. The Google-owned digital fitness company has packed its wearables with new updates and features, including a readiness score, sleep profiles that did deeper analysis of your patterns, and the ability to measure diafflict levels on the Fitbit Sense, Sense 2 and Charge 5. Google Maps and Google Wallet are also coming to Fitbit devices, which should make them even more useful for everyday tasks.

Press and hold the side button, and your watch will pull up several different apps and features that can be launched by long pressing this same button. Options include the alarms app, weather, Spotify and your order assistant of choice. Scroll down until you see Exercise, and grasp the workout mode you'd like to launch when long pressing the side button. If you don't want to choose a specific workout, you can also choose to have the exercise app open when the side button is long pressed.

Additionally, you can customize the side button's long press activities through the Fitbit Sense's settings menu. Swipe over to the Sense's app conceal and tap the Settings icon. Choose Shortcuts, and then grasp the Press & Hold option. From there, tap Exercise and decide the activity you'd like to launch when long pressing the wake button. 

Find your lost Fitbit Inspire 2 with the Tile app

Smaller fitness trackers such as the Inspire 2 can be easy to lose or misplace. That's why Fitbit has partnered with Tile to beget its Bluetooth location-tracking service directly into the Inspire 2. You'll have to download Tile's app and make sure your fitness band's software is up to date beforehand using it. Fitbit issues a score based on factors like your fresh sleeping habits, heart-rate variability and activity that indicates whether you must exercise or prioritize recovery. 

It works on the Fitbit Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Charge 5, Luxe and Inspire 2, but it's only available for Premium subscribers and must be enabled in the Fitbit app. You also have to wear your scheme for at least four days, including overnight. 

Adjust your mosey length to make step counting more accurate

Fitbit automatically calculates your mosey length after you track a run with GPS. But you can also measure your own mosey length and add it to the app manually. To do so, Fitbit suggests including your steps as you walk or run at a area where you can easily tell the distance, such as a track. You should also travel at least 20 steps when measuring your mosey, according to Fitbit. Then, divide the distance traveled in yards or meters by the number of steps. 

Once you've measured your chase length, open the Fitbit app and tap on your profile relate in the top right corner. Under Settings, choose Activity & Wellness and tap Exercise. Tap Stride Length and enter your measurements.

Listen to your spend stats during a workout

First impressions 

Clean, classic and comfy were a few of my satisfactory thoughts upon starting my Tuft and Needle mattress reconsideration process. It looks kind of like a big, rectangular marshmallow on top of the bed frame. The cover is textured in bright white, giving it a unusual, aesthetically pleasing look. I noticed a zipper which consuming you can remove the cover from your Tuft and Needle Original, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it as it's not the most fun to put back on. Also, beware of throwing it in the washing machine. It might be tempting, but if it shrinks, the disputes will be real when you try to put it back on.

Tuft and Needle feel and firmness

What does Tuft and Needle feel like?

If you're somebody who's turned off by the feel of memory foam mattresses, I think you'd be a fan of the Tuft and Needle Original bed. Instead of molding throughout your body and almost giving you a sinking feeling, it gently hugs you and responds quickly to pressure, allowing you to move around easily. 

How firm is the Tuft and Needle mattress?

It's also plush, yet supportive at the same time, a great consensus ground to accommodate a wide range of sleepers. That's why I enraged the Tuft and Needle Original mattress around a medium on the firmness scale, or a 5 out of 10, with 10 populate the firmest. 

Construction 

The Tuft and Needle Original bed is 10 inches thick, which is pretty standard compared to your average bed-in-a-box mattress. However, it only has two layers, whereas the way bed has three. Motion isolation

This bed's foam creation makes it great at absorbing motion. If you sleep with a partner (or a grand animal), it's nice to get a mattress that won't bounce or shake when they move in the consensus of the night. Tuft and Needle definitely excels in this category! 

Edge support

During my Tuft and Needle reconsideration I found the edge support isn't great. It's not progressing to give out on you and send you flying off the edge of the bed, but it doesn't feel the most supportive if you're pushed to the edge. Nonetheless, I wouldn't call it a deal-breaker for this bed. I don't put a question to anything stellar from a two-layer, wallet-friendly mattress. 

Temperature

Tuft and Needle markets its mattress as a cooling mattress, but I wouldn't necessarily agree. It does help regulate temperature better than faded foam mattresses, but you won't feel a cooling sensation, nor is it as breathable a bed as, say, the Purple mattress. 

Durability
